House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark E. Green issued a statement on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) temporarily halting the CHNV (Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, Venezuelans) mass-parole program due to fraud concerns. An internal report revealed misuse of social security numbers, addresses, and phone numbers, and implicated serial sponsors. Chairman Green stated this vindicates previous warnings about the program’s unlawful nature and criticized the Biden administration for inadequate vetting and transparency. He called for the immediate termination of the CHNV program.
